DMZ (Demilitarized Zone) is the political border that divides the Korean peninsula. Strictly guarded and untouched for more than 70 years’ armistice, its nearby area has become a popular tourist attraction in the South.
For the video, I used images of rare/endangered plant species that live inside the DMZ to create an abstract animation. Inside I hung the 3D-printed padlocks, connected together to symbolize love locks for tourists. The entire structure becomes a greenhouse that contain all these elements, preserving them from the outside.
